Andreas Plies

Andreas Plies is the CEO and Co-Founder of AUTHADA and an expert for digital identification and signature solutions. For more than 15 years he has been involved in the cyber security industry and has led various research projects on secure digital identification as computer scientist. He focuses on the regulatory and business aspects of eIDAS 2.0, the corresponding implementing acts as well as the resulting technological requirements and challenges for the industry. Together with his team, he is involved in the conceptual and technical evaluation of concepts for the implementation of the EUDI Wallet focusing on Secure Element and eUICC applications. Since the start in the year 2015 he has been leading AUTHADA, one of the first providers from the private sector offering market specific identification and signature solutions based on the German eID, widely used in financial, telecommunication and eHealth industry. For some time now he has been working on the implementation of secure and interoperable solutions for relying parties and issuers enabling their compliant access to the eIDAS 2.0 ecosystem.
