FinTech-Standort Deutschland: Wie eine smarte Regulierung & Aufsicht FinTechs fördern kann
Lukas Gottschick is a seasoned financial-services strategist and commercial leader, bringing over two decades of experience across banking, consulting, and fintech to his role as Chief Commercial Officer at Pliant.
He began his career in 2004 at Deutsche Bank, working in Frankfurt, Mannheim and New York, where he gained deep exposure to institutional banking, risk, product and client workflows. Over the next decade he transitioned into strategic advisory roles — as a project leader at 4P Consulting and, later, as a Senior Manager at Accenture Strategy — advising banks and financial institutions on digital transformation, innovation, and business model adaptation.
Being at Pliant for 4 years now, Lukas leads the company’s go-to-market motions, heading Sales, Partnerships, and Revenue Operations. He is deeply involved in shaping Pliant’s commercial strategy, partnerships, and market expansion efforts. Under his leadership, Pliant has successfully rolled out white-label and embedded corporate credit card offerings, working closely with banks to bring modular payment solutions into their own ecosystems. Pliant is currently the partner of choice for 4 Tier 1 banks in Europe and UK.
Pliant itself is fast emerging as a European fintech infrastructure leader in B2B payments. In April 2025, the company closed a USD 40 million Series B round (bringing total funding above USD 100 million) to support its U.S. expansion, invest in talent and infrastructure, and deepen its partner network. Today, Pliant serves thousands of businesses across Europe, UK and the US and issues Visa-powered credit cards in 12 currencies in more than 30 countries.
